Full Job Description:
Midwest Medical and Rehabilitative Services is an outpatient mental health clinic located in Brooklyn Park, MN. MMRS is currently seeking for full-time and part-time Mental Health Practitioners for the Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Services (ARMHS) program. MMRS is seeking for culturally sensitive Mental Health Practitioners who qualify to provide ARMHS to underserved and underrepresented clients with serious and persistent mental illness (SPMI) in the metro area and Greater MN. The ARMHS practitioner is to provide adult rehabilitative mental health services and enable client to develop and enhance psychiatric stability, social competencies, personal and emotional adjustment, and independent living and community skills when these abilities are impaired by the symptoms of mental illness.
Qualifications, Skills and Abilities:
  • Must be 21 years old
  • Must have some college education background or 2000 hours of providing mental health services under supervision
  • Must have valid Minnesota Driver's License
  • Must pass the MN background study
  • Must complete Minnesota DHS required pre-services training in ARMHS topis
  • Prefer experience in working with refugee clients with mental health disability
  • Prefer culturally sensitive MHP that can work with underserved and underrepresented individuals and community
  • Ability to work independently and build professional relationship with clients
  • Ability to develop professional working relationship with clients and their support system
  • Able to work collaboratively
  • Good time management skills
  • Good professional writing skills for documentations
Education Requirement:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Associate degree with at least 2000 hours of supervised mental health services experience.
Trainings, Certifications Required Experience:
2000 hours of supervised mental health experience and certifications
COVID-19
requirements:
  • MHP are required to wear face mask and practice the Minnesota CDC guidelines for practice social distancing while at work.
  • Telehealth/Telemedicine
  • MHP can encourage clients that are unvaccinated to wear mask and get vaccinated.
Work Location:
  • Multiple locations in the metro area and Greater MN.
