Position Summary Assistant Professor•
Tenure Track Applied Behavior Analysis Program Department of Psychology and Counseling College of Education, Health and Human Studies Primary Responsibilities:
Teach 12 credit hours per semester while engaging in a meaningful and active program of scholarship Deliver high-quality, engaging instruction across a range of online graduate courses within the Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) program Mentor and advise graduate students, fostering their academic and professional development, and maintain accessible office hours Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum innovation and program growth, while contributing service to the department, college, and institution Serve in a 10-month faculty role with opportunities for additional summer teaching and compensation Assist in student recruitment and retention Required Qualifications Doctorate or ABD (completion by August 1, 2026) in applied behavior analysis or a closely related field with an emphasis in training in skill assessment and programming, function-based assessment and intervention, evidence-based practice, or single-subject research design; Degree must be from a regionally accredited or internationally accredited/government certified university Holds current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or Board Certified Behavior Analyst-Doctoral Level (BCBA-D) certification with no prior or pending revocations Current or eligible for Missouri State Licensure as a Licensed Behavior Analyst and have completed the BACB© required Supervisor Training by start date Minimum of three years clinical Applied Behavior Analysis experience Knowledge of Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) standards for training students and current trends in the field of applied behavior analysis Demonstrated ability to collaborate with internal and external agencies Demonstrated potential for successful teaching at the college/university level Demonstrated ability to successfully provide remote supervision of practicum students Demonstrated commitment to continuing professional development in the field of applied behavior analysis and related fields Demonstrated potential for scholarly work Experience or knowledge of using technology in instruction, including online teaching Demonstrated strong written and oral communication skills Demonstrated commitment to collegiality when interacting with others within the University community As a public regional university (with a graduate mission), Southeast seeks candidates with a commitment to excellent undergraduate (and graduate) education and student success within the framework of the teacher-scholar model. Applications of instructional technology and pedagogical research are supported through the Center for Teaching and Learning and SEMO Online. Successful candidates will contribute to the development of innovative curricula and delivery strategies, including traditional, blended, and online formats, and participate in initiatives promoting student success, retention, and degree completion.
