Job Description

Summary:
As a Student Counseling Services Assistant within Student Counseling Services, individuals in this role will assist and support mental health and wellness programming and initiatives. This position involves planning and hosting events, communicating with community partners, researching resources and more. This position requires a strong interest in mental health and student advocacy, having a friendly and approachable attitude and being reliable and detail oriented, while also upholding confidentiality. Students will gain valuable experience in mental health, wellness and community building while contributing to the effective coordination of wellness initiatives and promoting resources on campus, helping students stay informed and connected.
Job Responsibilities:
Support wellness programming and tabling events Assist in managing event listings, form submissions, etc. on GetInvolvedMU Create (Canva) and upload content and program flyers to digital signage around campus Research local and national resources to include in the campus-wide resource list Communicate with and organize community partnership contacts. Assist with administrative tasks (creating flyers, managing contact lists, document updates, etc.) Attend occasional check-ins with your supervisor for updates, training and support

Must be a current full-time undergraduate student at Maryville University Must be Federal Work-Study eligible or be approved for Institutional Work-Study and available to work during the academic year from August 2026-May 2027. Interest in mental health, wellness, or student advocacy Reliable, detail-oriented, and maintains confidentiality Friendly, approachable, and comfortable working with diverse students Physical Demands Ability to work at a desk
Skills Required:
Familiarity with Canva, Word, PowerPoint, etc., or willingness to learn Strong written & verbal communication skills
Position Pay:
$15/hr Hours per week: 10
Start Date:

End Date:
04/23/2027
