This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and adults by implementing behavioral strategies and assisting with daily activities. The ideal candidate will be energetic, patient, and committed to fostering a positive and supportive environment. This paid position is perfect for those passionate about behavioral health, special education, and working closely with individuals on the autism spectrum or with other developmental needs. Responsibilities Implement behavioral therapy techniques, including applied behavior analysis (ABA), to promote positive behaviors and skill development Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as grooming, feeding, dressing, and toileting Collect and record data accurately to monitor progress and inform care plans Support teaching and training efforts tailored to each individual's needs, including social skills, communication, and self-care Maintain confidentiality by adhering to HIPAA regulations and managing medical documentation securely Collaborate with team members to develop, review, and update personalized care plans Provide patient-centered care that respects each individual's unique abilities and preferences Skills Strong knowledge of behavioral therapy methods, especially applied behavior analysis (ABA) Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD) Ability to assist with ADLs while maintaining a respectful and encouraging approach Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and HIPAA compliance Excellent data collection skills for tracking behavioral progress and documenting interventions Knowledge of special education principles and teaching strategies tailored for diverse learning needs Effective behavior management techniques combined with patience, empathy, and strong communication skills Join us in creating a supportive environment where individuals can thrive!
