Non-Exempt / Full-Time Position Summary The Associate Professional (AP) provides direct support, therapeutic assistance, and skill-building interventions to adolescents enrolled in the .1400 Day Treatment program. The AP works under the supervision of a Qualified Professional (QP) or Licensed Professional, helping to implement Person-Centered Plans (PCPs) and support the academic, behavioral, and emotional needs of youth. The AP assists with program structure, group facilitation, behavioral management, and documentation in accordance with Medicaid and NC DHHS requirements. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Implement interventions and activities outlined in the client's Person-Centered Plan (PCP).
- Facilitate therapeutic groups, structured recreational activities, and skill-building sessions.
- Provide behavioral support and assist with de-escalation and crisis intervention under supervision.
- Assist with monitoring and documenting client progress and daily notes.
- Support academic activities and reinforce learning strategies in coordination with educational staff.
- Communicate regularly with the supervising QP or Licensed Professional about client needs and progress.
- Participate in treatment team meetings, trainings, and professional development.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, FERPA, agency policies, and safety protocols.
- Provide transportation support when required, following agency safety policies.
- Maintain professional boundaries and serve as a positive role model for youth. Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a human services field (Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Human Services, etc.) OR
- Associate's degree in a human services field with at least 2 years of relevant experience working with children/adolescents with behavioral or emotional challenges.
- Must meet NC DHHS definition of an Associate Professional.
- Experience working with adolescents in residential, school-based, or community settings preferred.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. Core Competencies

- Day Treatment classroom and therapeutic group settings.
- Frequent interaction with youth, staff, and families.
- Some local travel may be required for program activities.
Pay:
$24.05
