Job Description

Job Summary:
Improve access to behavioral healthcare for farmworkers by providing screenings for anxiety and depression, as well as delivering appropriate interventions under the supervision of licensed clinical supervisors. Major Duties & Responsibilities Support Farmworker Health team with outreach efforts. Serve as a member of the UNC Greensboro Strong Minds, Strong Communities cohort by completing virtual sessions with didactic and hands-on training in behavioral health, using a manual-based intervention system to address anxiety and depression. Conduct screenings to identify behavioral health needs and help participants with recruitment and program enrollment. Maintain a consistent caseload of participants through the implementation of a brief, structured intervention delivered weekly in-person or remotely. Maintain relationships and knowledge of resources to refer clients for identified social determinants of health needs. Track caseload, encounters, and progress using electronic health records. Attend weekly supervision meetings with a licensed clinical supervisor. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Bilingual Spanish-speaker with strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills Considerable knowledge of and ability to enlist available community resources and medical services General knowledge of health literacy Skilled in communicating with various types of laborers, a variety of service delivery disciplines, and the general public Ability to assess sanitary and health conditions in farmworker camps Ability to complete required records and reports Ability to establish effective working relationships with the crew leaders, laborers, community agencies, and groups Minimum Education & Experience Demonstrated possession of knowledge, skills, and abilities as stated above through at least one year of experience in performing similar tasks in a hospital, clinic, nursing home, medical corps, or other medical treatment program.
