We are actively seeking a compassionate and skilled Peer support specialist to join our team full-time. This role is essential to our mission, providing therapy, crisis support, and service coordination for mental health clients in a variety of settings. As a Peer support specialist with Carolina Outreach, you will provide structured and scheduled activities for adults age 18 and older with MH/SA disability. Build Your Purpose. Our comprehensive range of services include school-based therapy, outpatient treatment, psychiatric evaluations, community support, and substance use services.
Position Description:
Assist program participants in the development of skills, confidence, and relationships as they resume independent living. Assisting consumers in articulating personal goals for recovery. Provide direct peer counseling based on your own lived experiences. Help participants understand and employ recovery strategies. Assisting consumers in determining the objectives the consumers' needs to take in order to reach their recovery goals. Assisting with setting up self-help groups.

$16.89 - $18.22/ hourly Final compensation is determined by factors such as education, licensure level, experience and other qualifications.
