Job Description

Position Summary:
Across The Life Span, PLLC (ATLS) is seeking a Certified Peer Support Specialist (CPSS) to join our integrated behavioral health team. This role is designed for a professional who uses their own personal lived experience of mental health or substance use recovery to provide hope, advocacy, and practical support to others.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide individual peer support using a strengths-based, trauma-informed approach. Assist individuals in identifying recovery goals and developing Wellness Recovery Action Plans (WRAP). Support consumers in navigating community systems, including housing, employment, and benefits. Accompany consumers to appointments and community activities. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of clinicians and medical staff. Complete required documentation in the EHR per NC Medicaid standards.
Qualifications:
Required:
Active North Carolina Peer Support Specialist (NC PSS) Certification.
Required:
Personal lived experience of mental health or substance use recovery.
Required:
High school diploma or GED.
Required:
Valid NC driver's license and reliable personal transportation.
Preferred:
WRAP Facilitator training and experience with NC Medicaid billing. Why Work at This Company?
