Contract Job Responsibilities:

Assist with patient admissions and orientation to the unit/hospital. Search for contraband and record patient valuables. Complete required documentation accurately. Monitor and report significant changes in patient status to medical staff. Support patients with hygiene, dietary needs, and safe environment practices. Use supportive approaches to de-escalate anxious or agitated patients. Implement individualized care plans and observe patient behaviors, documenting as needed. Escort and supervise patients to appointments, legal proceedings, and other activities. Participate in quality improvement activities and mandatory training to maintain competencies. Follow policies, seek supervision when needed, and expand knowledge through continuing education.

Requirements:

Works under RN supervision in an acute psychiatric care setting. Psych and prior mental health experience preferred. BLS certification from AHA required at submission. Covid-19 vaccination required. Orientation will be conducted during the 1st shift for 4 weeks.

Pay:

$20.00•$25.00 per hour
