Job Description

Behavioral Assistant (BA) About Neuropath Behavioral Healthcare Neuropath Behavioral Healthcare provides comprehensive therapeutic support services designed to address a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges. Our approach is rooted in evidence-based practices, and our team of highly trained professionals is dedicated to providing individualized care for every client.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide support in the home and community to both youth and caregivers Implement treatment plans Deliver services as directed by the supervising therapist, including: Using evidence-based interventions and positive reinforcement Assist parents/guardians with treatment plan implementation Collect, track, and report progression or regression (including graphs when required) Submit accurate weekly clinical progress notes within 24 hours of service provision Assist with caregiver/staff training under the guidance of a supervising therapist. Recognize, prevent, and intervene in crisis situations appropriately Participate in required training and maintain compliance with all agency policies
Required Skills & Abilities:
Strong active listening, critical thinking, and communication skills Compassion, patience, and adaptability Ability to work independently and collaboratively Positive leadership and role modeling for youth and families Reliability and attentiveness with strong organizational skills Knowledge of evidence-based interventions for behavioral/developmental disabilities
Qualifications:
Must complete the NJ CSOC Behavioral Assistant Certification within 6 months of hire Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field 2-4 years of experience in behavioral healthcare, preferably working with children with developmental/intellectual disabilities or mental illness Valid New Jersey Driver's License Must pass all state and federal background checks A pre-employment, post conditional job offer drug screen is required for this role. Bilingual candidates (especially Spanish-speaking) encouraged to apply. Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship. We are unable to sponsor H-1B or other employment visas at this time.
