DIR Floortime Player The Clubhouse Services Palisades Park, NJ Job Details Part-time $25 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED Working with children Data collection Full Job Description Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic DIR Floortime Player to join our dynamic team dedicated to supporting children with developmental disabilities, including autism. In this role, you will engage with children through play-based interactions rooted in the Developmental, Individual-Differences, Relationship-Based (DIR) model, fostering social-emotional growth and communication skills. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help create a nurturing environment where children can thrive, learn, and develop meaningful connections. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact while gaining valuable experience in behavioral health and special education. Duties Facilitate engaging, child-led play sessions that promote social-emotional development using DIR Floortime techniques Observe and assess each child's interests, strengths, and challenges to tailor interactions accordingly Collaborate with families and multidisciplinary teams to support individualized care plans and therapeutic goals Collect and document data on child progress, behaviors, and responses during sessions for ongoing analysis Assist children with activities of daily living (ADLs), including feeding, dressing, grooming, and toileting as needed Maintain accurate medical records, behavior logs, and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations Support behavioral health initiatives by implementing behavior management strategies aligned with applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles Qualifications Experience or training in behavioral therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), or special education is highly desirable Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children, especially those with autism or developmental disabilities Knowledge of medical terminology, medical documentation standards, and care plans related to behavioral health Strong skills in data collection, record keeping, and reporting to track progress accurately Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills for working with children and families Ability to adhere to HIPAA guidelines ensuring confidentiality of medical records and personal information Patient-centered approach with a passion for teaching, caregiving, and supporting children's growth through play-based methods

$25.00 per hour
