Posting Details Position Information Fiscal Year 2025-2026 Position Title Postdoctoral Associate, Epidemiology and Environmental Health Classification Title Postdoctoral Associate Department Department of Epidemiology and Environmental Health Posting Number P260080 Posting Link ubjobs.buffalo.postings61888 Employer State Bargaining Unit 08 Position Type UUP Professional Professional Appointment Term Term Salary Grade SL1 Posting Detail Information Position Summary The Department of Epidemiology and Environmental Health (EEH) invites applications for the position of Postdoctoral Associate to join our dynamic team of faculty and staff. Working with Dr. Zhongzheng (Jason) Niu, EEH Assistant Professor, the postdoctoral associate will work on research projects pertaining to cardiometabolic health through a life course perspective. Possible projects include examining environmental risk factors (e.g., air pollution, heatwave, endocrine disrupting chemicals) on biological aging (telomere length, epigenetic clocks), and multi-omics integration (epigenome, mitochondrial functions, and metabolomics). The postdoctoral associate will receive training on data analysis with advanced statistical approaches, publishing high-impact journal articles, successful grant writing, and career development. The candidate will be expected to manage and analyze existing data, work as part of a functional team, write manuscripts and present research results at scientific conferences. Depending on interest, the candidate may also participate in an ongoing clinical trial of post-partum hypertension and depression. The postdoctoral associate should be self-motivated, creative, productive, and organized. Successful candidates should possess advanced expertise in statistical programming languages such as SAS, Stata andor R. There is funding available for this position for up to two years, however, the appointment will be reviewed and renewed on an annual basis. This is an in-person position, and candidates will be expected to be physically present at the University at Buffalo for the duration of the appointment.
