Up to $150,000 per annum (Direct Hire)About the OpportunityWe are seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) – Behavioral Health to join a leading healthcare organization in New York City.

This leadership role is responsible for assisting in the planning, organization, coordination, and evaluation of nursing services within a behavioral health setting while ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and regulatory compliance.

Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in the development and implementation of nursing policies, procedures, objectives, and standards.

Provide leadership, guidance, and oversight to nursing supervisors and clinical staff.

Support nursing operations, staffing, budgeting, and resource allocation.

Coordinate and evaluate patient care programs to ensure quality outcomes.

Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.

Conduct rounds, chart reviews, and patient care evaluations.

Prepare administrative reports related to staff performance and patient management.

Lead staff meetings, educational initiatives, and professional development activities.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.

QualificationsRequiredActive and unrestricted New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license.

Strong Behavioral Health leadership/supervisory experience.

One of the following:

Master's degree in nursing administration, Nursing Education, Clinical Specialty, or related field with at least 5 years of nursing experience, including 3 years in a supervisory or teaching role; ORBachelor's degree in nursing with at least 6 years of nursing experience, including 4 years in a supervisory or teaching role.

Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.

Experience with quality improvement, regulatory compliance, and nursing operations.
