Pleasant Cottage School - 3.3 Pleasantville, NY Job Details Full-time Up to $32 an hour 3 days ago Benefits 403(b) Retirement plan Qualifications RBT Certification School experience Teamwork Working with children Working with students Full Job Description Overview The Mount Pleasant Cottage School is hiring dedicated Behavior Modification Aides to provide evidence based behavioral support in our Special Education/ABA classrooms. This role is ideal for experienced Behavior Modification Aides ready to advance their career in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Working in small, supportive classroom settings, you will implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the direct guidance of a special education teacher and a BCBA, helping students with autism spectrum disorders and intellectual disabilities reach their full potential. Duties Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles to encourage positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors. Data collection and reporting. Classroom and instructional support. Support crisis intervention efforts by employing crisis management techniques to de-escalate situations safely and effectively. Skills Proven experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities in educational settings. RBT certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board is
REQUIRED.
Strong knowledge of behavior management techniques, crisis intervention, and crisis management protocols. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams. Compassionate demeanor combined with the ability to handle sensitive situations involving addiction counseling or trauma-related care such as PTSD.
Pay:
Up to $32.00 per hour
