Job Description
Overview The Shelter Aide plays a vital role in providing support and assistance to individuals residing in a shelter environment, 24 hours a day. The Shelter Aide will be responsible for maintaining a safe and supportive atmosphere while assisting clients with their daily needs. We are hiring for a variety of shifts, including daytime, evenings, weekends, and overnight. Duties Provide direct support to shelter residents, ensuring their safety and well-being. Answering our 24/7 hotline, providing emotional support and offering resources. Engage in crisis intervention when necessary, utilizing effective conflict management techniques. Supervise residents, offering guidance and support to encourage positive behavior management. Maintain accurate documentation of resident interactions and hotline calls. Communicate with staff regarding scheduling and messages. Experience Skills in crisis intervention, conflict management, and behavior management are highly desirable. Strong data entry skills and attention to detail are essential for maintaining accurate records. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating independence when necessary.
