ASSISTANT DEAN OF EDUCATION & BEHAVIORAL SCIENCES AND LIBERAL ARTS POSITION
ANNOUNCEMENTButler County Community College (BC3) is currently accepting applications for the position of Assistant Dean of Education & Behavioral Sciences and Liberal Arts. This is a regular full-time position that will begin July 1, 2026.Reporting to the Dean of Education & Behavioral Sciences and Liberal Arts, the Assistant Dean of Education & Behavioral Sciences and Liberal Arts serves as the divisions lead administrator for program assessment, dual enrollment, high school partnerships, and the initial review of student academic concerns. This position supports the Dean in academic operations and ensures consistency, compliance, and strong pathways from high school to college. The Assistant Dean of Education & Behavioral Sciences and Liberal Arts plays a critical role in accreditation documentation, student learning outcomes assessment, and high schoolbased academic programming. Masters degree from an accredited institution in Education, Behavioral Sciences, Liberal Arts, Higher Education Administration, or related field required. Three (3) years of teaching or academic administrative experience required. Experience with assessment, program review, or dual enrollment programming preferred. Must possess and maintain a valid drivers license. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Review of applications will begin immediately. BC3 is nestled in the rolling hills of Western Pennsylvania and only 45 minutes from the cultural life of Pittsburgh. BC3 is a vibrant comprehensive community college serving eight (8) counties with five (5) locations and nearly 2,500 credit students. Built on the former Oak Hills Golf Course and a farm, BC3 has a beautiful main campus on 329 wooded acres with a central Oak Grove. BC3 employs approximately 1,000 full- and part-time employees.BC3 has 53 career and transfer programs. The College is going all in for its Shaffer School of Nursing and Allied Health. This includes the construction of a state-of-the-art Victor K. Phillips Nursing and Allied Health Building, program expansion, and the development of a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Program. Private and public support has made this possible. BC3 offers unique programs such as Measurement Science/Metrology, Massage Therapy, Electronics, Nanofabrication Technology, and Park and Recreation Management. BC3 offers over 100 courses in online and distance education. In addition to degree programs, BC3 has a public safety training facility at its main campus that serves 15,000 students annually for business training, industrial safety training, and public safety fire, EMS, Hazmat, and police training.
