ALUCP has a long history of providing support for adult individuals diagnosed with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) so that they may stay in their own homes and avoid institutional settings. What will you do as a Behavior Specialist? You will be a key member of an individual's treatment team. Networking with local referral sources to build behavior support caseloads. Conducting Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) to determine if and what kind of behavior supports may be needed. Training and supporting Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) on behavior modification techniques and support plans. Completing routine observations and interactions with clients. Maintaining behavior supports documentation such as o Monthly progress notes o Behavior data tracking o Training documentation o Behavior support plans Maintaining a caseload of approximately 30 billable hours/week which equates to approximately 10 clients. (Clients are located within Cambria County) What are the job requirements?
Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in human services, education, social work, or related field. 1 year experience working within the IDD/mental health field Ability to work independently and take initiative in a changing environment What's in it for you?
