Locations in Middletown, Lebanon, Lancaster, PA . Independent Options, LLC. is looking for qualified Assistant Behavior Specialist , in
DAUPHIN COUNTY, LEBANON COUNTY, LANCASTER, PA
who are motivated to make a difference in the lives of individuals with intellectual disabilities (IDD) whom are residing in their own homes!

Qualifications Required Bachelor's Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, Counseling, Social Work, or a closely related field Minimum 1-2 years of direct experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and/or Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) Demonstrated experience implementing behavior support plans under the supervision of a BCBA or other qualified behavior professional Familiarity with data collection, progress monitoring, and graphing behavioral data Experience working across home, school, or community settings Strong written and verbal communication skills for documentation and team collaboration Preferred Experience working within an ISP (Individual Support Plan) framework Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification or currently accumulating BCBA fieldwork hours Knowledge of restrictive procedures and the ethical guidelines governing their use Experience training or coaching direct support staff on behavioral programming This position is not a match if you: Have no prior hands-on experience working with individuals with ASD or IDD Have not had direct involvement in implementing or monitoring a behavior support plan Are looking for a purely administrative or office-based role Key Responsibilities Clinical & Program Development Develop, implement, and monitor behavior support plans aligned with ISP outcomes and prescribed medical treatments across all settings Assess client needs and areas of growth to guide the treatment planning process Measure and analyze goal and objective data to evaluate progress and adjust programming as needed Lead treatment plan review meetings Collaboration & Communication Collaborate regularly with internal and external team members, including families, providers, and Supports Coordination Organizations Communicate with assigned staff regarding programming, treatment fidelity, and training needs Conduct all interactions with clients and team members in a positive, professional, and caring manner Training & Staff Development Train direct support professionals on ISP outcomes, behavior support plans, restrictive procedures, and prescribed programming Provide coaching to team members in a supportive, collaborative manner; actively receive and implement coaching from others Deliver training on Applied Behavior Analysis principles and Autism Spectrum Disorder to employees and stakeholders Contribute to departmental growth through systems development and support of staff engaged in BCBA fieldwork and internship activities Documentation & Professional Development Maintain and submit all required documentation by established deadlines, including quarterly progress notes and billing records Engage in ongoing professional development to maintain certifications and deepen expertise in areas of professional interest Share knowledge and expertise to support the growth of colleagues across programs
