Job Responsibilities will include:
Providing first aid treatment and student health education. Administering medication and prescribed treatments; Obtaining and documenting monthly vital signs; Updating student records with information regarding medical care, treatment plans, and observations. Participating in administrative support tasks to include: supply management and ordering, compiling data for reports, preparing correspondence, etc.
Skills:
Excellent communication skills for effective patient treatment, education and collaboration across departments. Strong interpersonal communication, conflict management and de-escalation skills. Strong understanding of trauma-informed care and residential treatment best practices. Ability to work effectively with a diverse population of youth, families, and professionals. Possess a knowledge of and sensitivity to cultural, ethnic, racial and socioeconomic issues.
Qualifications:
Valid RI CMT or CMA certification Minimum 2 years of medical office or facility experience, preferably with experience working in a behavioral health setting. Must successfully complete required driving record, criminal, and child abuse/neglect pre-employment screenings and maintain favorable results during employment. We are an equal opportunity employer.
