House monitor for Transition House for women North Myrtle Beach, SC 29582 $12.00 - $27.33 an hour - Part-time $12.00 - $27.33 an hour - Part-time Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate House Monitor to support women transitioning to independent living within a specialized Transition House. In this vital role, you will provide a safe, supportive environment by overseeing daily operations, ensuring security, and assisting residents with their needs. Your energetic and proactive approach will foster a welcoming atmosphere where women can rebuild their lives with confidence. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference while developing your skills in social work, crisis intervention, and behavioral health. Responsibilities Supervise residents' activities to promote safety, security, and positive behavior management Conduct intake assessments and assist with case management to support individual recovery plans Provide crisis intervention and conflict management to de-escalate tense situations effectively Support residents with childcare, medication administration, and basic health needs following proper protocols Maintain accurate data entry, filing, and data collection related to resident records and incident reports Monitor security systems, conduct regular safety checks, and ensure the physical safety of the facility Facilitate communication between residents, staff, and external service providers to coordinate care and support services Experience Supervising experience in social services or residential settings preferred Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques and conflict management strategies Experience in childcare, behavioral health, or addiction counseling is advantageous Familiarity with security protocols, medication administration, and first aid certification required Strong communication skills for effective intake processes and resident interactions Home & community care experience or LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) familiarity is a plus Ability to handle sensitive information through accurate data entry, filing, and record keeping This role is an excellent fit for motivated individuals passionate about empowering women through compassionate supervision and support.
