Responsibilities Assist with implementing individualized behavior management plans based on applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques to promote positive behaviors. Support clients with activities of daily living, ensuring their safety and comfort during sessions. Monitor and record vital signs, medical documentation, and behavioral data accurately to track progress and inform treatment strategies. Conduct intake assessments and participate in medical records management while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations. Respond effectively to behavioral crises or emergencies through crisis intervention and crisis management protocols. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including social workers, medical staff, and family members, to coordinate comprehensive care plans. Administer medication as prescribed, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to safety procedures related to medical terminology and patient care. Requirements Prior experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is highly preferred. Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques, behavior management strategies, and crisis management protocols. Familiarity with working with individuals with autism, PTSD care needs, addiction counseling, or disabilities enhances your effectiveness in this role. Ability to accurately collect data, document medical records, and understand medical terminology related to behavioral health. Strong interpersonal skills for engaging with clients, families, and team members in a respectful and professional manner. Certification or training in applied behavior analysis (ABA), social work, or related fields is advantageous but not mandatory. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA standards at all times.
