Position Summary The UIW Community Clinic Office Assistant will act as the UIW Community Clinic Floor Manager to assist in supervising physical therapist(s), clinic administrators, students, and patients/clients with all clinic duties. The UIW Community Clinic Office Assistant reports to the UIW Community Clinic Lead. Essential Functions Provide support services for UIW Community Clinic. Act as the UIW Community Clinic Floor Manager to perform all opening and closing procedures for the clinic. Demonstrate effective communication with clinic administration, staff, supervising physical therapists, students, patients/clients, and external stakeholders, such as referral sources and community partner organizations. Perform all opening and closing procedures for the clinic. Maintain patient/client medical/health records. Schedule patient/client appointments. Facilitating all aspects of clinic function. Maintain inventory of office supplies. Effectively communicate with clinic administration, staff, supervising physical therapists, students, patients/clients, and external stakeholders, such as referral sources and community partner organizations. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Knowledge Skills and Abilities Display professional behavior. Initiative in completing clinic tasks. Exercise confidentiality when providing information to staff, students, patients/clients, and external stakeholders, such as referral sources and community partner organizations, when discussing HIPAA protected information. Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures. Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA. Required Education Must be a current UIW School of Rehabilitation Sciences student. Required Work Experience None. Preferred Qualifications Previous work experience in an office/clinic setting. Ability to speak Spanish. Required Certifications, Licenses or Registrations None. Work Hours Flexible schedule, with primary hours on Tuesdays or Thursdays 12:15 pm
