Overview:

We are looking for a compassionate and dependable Swing Shift Behavioral Specialist to join our team at a residential treatment facility providing 24-hour care for adolescent females. This full-time position offers a great opportunity for students, particularly those pursuing careers in mental health or medical fields, to gain valuable experience while still attending school during the day. Our home-like facility, nestled in the beautiful hills above Orem/Provo, operates with a family-oriented environment and provides care for adolescent females facing various challenges.

Requirements:

Must be 21 years old or older to apply. Must be able to pass a background check . Prior experience in behavioral health or caregiving is a plus but not required. Reliability and dependability are essential .

This position is perfect for students with daytime classes who need flexible work hours. Students pursuing degrees in mental health , medical fields , or similar areas will gain invaluable hands-on experience working with adolescents in a therapeutic setting.

Job Responsibilities:

Interact with adolescent residents both individually and in group settings. Document observations and care activities as required by policy. Assist with daily activities, including dinner preparation, evening activities, and bedtime routines. Support peers and provide assistance as needed during shifts. Assist with basic personal hygiene tasks, meal prep, and occasionally help with homework. Occasionally run errands related to resident care and house needs. Supervise residents in special care areas as assigned. Use Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) techniques as needed to manage volatile situations. Participate in treatment planning and implementation with clinical staff. Ensure a clean, safe, and orderly environment; report maintenance needs. Assist in resident admissions and discharges as needed. Help nursing staff respond to emergency situations. Ensure all shift duties are completed and assist with activity group planning.
