To Be Determined Job Description The Behavior Support Assistant provides direct behavioral, social-emotional, and instructional support to students experiencing behavioral challenges in a variety of school settings. Working collaboratively with teachers and administrators, the Behavior Support Assistant implements behavior plans, reinforces positive behaviors, and supports the development of self-regulation, communication, and problem-solving skills. This position utilizes evidence-based practices, including PBIS and trauma-informed approaches, to promote safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environments. Responsibilities include collecting behavioral data, assisting with crisis intervention and de-escalation, participating in student support processes, maintaining confidentiality, and engaging in ongoing professional development to support student success.
