In this dynamic role, you will leverage your lived experience and professional skills to provide compassionate, peer-led support to those navigating behavioral health challenges, including mental health and substance use disorders. Responsibilities Offer peer-led support by sharing personal recovery experiences to motivate and inspire clients. Assist individuals in crisis management through effective crisis intervention techniques, ensuring safety and stabilization. Conduct behavioral health assessments and develop tailored recovery plans in collaboration with clients and multidisciplinary teams. Utilize motivational interviewing strategies to encourage behavioral change and reinforce positive decision-making. Provide mentorship and guidance on coping skills, relapse prevention, and accessing community resources. Document interactions accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems, maintaining confidentiality and compliance with privacy regulations. Collaborate with clinical staff to coordinate care plans, monitor progress, and adjust support strategies as needed. Experience Lived experience with mental health challenges or substance use recovery is highly valued; previous peer support or mentoring experience is a plus. Demonstrated ability in crisis intervention and crisis management techniques. Knowledge of behavioral health principles, addiction counseling, and social work practices. Proficiency in motivational interviewing methods to facilitate client engagement and motivation. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation purposes. Strong communication skills with the ability to build trusting relationships with diverse populations.
