None Delta-T Group is a nationwide provider of interim staffing referrals and workforce solutions within the K12 education, social service, behavioral health, substance abuse and disability fields. We connect caring professionals with rich and rewarding client opportunities. Our client is seeking a QMHP to work in Richmond, VA. The schedule is Monday-Friday, overnight- 12a•8a or 11p•7a.
SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES
- This position works in the facility answering incoming calls and dispatching crisis responders into the community to assess and assist the caller as needed
- Provides rapid intervention and de-escalation
- Provides assessment and safety planning
- Works in conjunction with other personnel in order to provide community based mental health support services by providing referrals to community-based mental health services, outpatient care, or crisis stabilization centers
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Provides immediate, over the phone support to individuals experiencing behavioral health crises, such as psychiatric emergencies, severe distress, or substance misuse.
- Focuses on de-escalation as an alternative to police involvement and/or hospitalization by conducting assessment and dispatching crisis responders
CLIENT'S REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- QMHP or CSAC License in Virginia
- MUST have a current Mobile Crisis Responder certification
- Minimum qualifications of a QMHP means a person in the human services field who is trained and experienced in providing psychiatric or mental health services
- Clinical experience means providing direct services to individuals with mental illness, ID/DD, or receiving gerontology or special education services
- Includes supervised internships, practicum's and field experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
- Knowledge of therapeutic interventions, life skills, case management, and crisis intervention skills
- Must demonstrate and appropriate level of academic skill necessary to effectively perform the responsibilities of this position
