Other duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities:
Center assistant assists in the recruitment and orientation of parents who volunteer in the center Assists with the accommodations at parent meetings and other center events as requested by the supervisor Send out monthly parent meeting notices Data Entry/ Childplus Takes center attendance daily; calls families with children who are absent for reason absent (if applicable); enter attendance in approved data system Notifies teacher when a child has been absent for two consecutive days with no contact from the child's family Prints health reports and gives a copy to the center manager and family support specialist Files health data into child files Communicates with outside agencies to obtain child health information Answers the telephone and provides information to callers or routes calls to the appropriate staff Authorized to verify income on Head Start applications Documents any recruitment activity on the recruitment log in the Sharepoint Library Handles incoming and outgoing center mail Prepares purchase orders and initiates requests to the supervisor
Qualifications:
Office Assistant Certificate and experience working with office machines and /or a combination of education and experience
