Job Description

Summary Under the direction of clinic leadership, facilitate efficient clinic flow by maintaining excellent patient care and customer service by performing patient care duties. Primary Responsibilities Perform patient rooming and greeting; obtain vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, weight, and height. Review and update smoking status, allergies, substance use, and medications for provider reconciliation. Review and update documentation in Epic using the patient's hospital discharge summary, including medications; ensure the patient reviews the discharge medication list. Enter PHQ-9 and GAD assessment data into Epic. Administer injections and perform other clinical procedures, ensuring accurate and timely documentation. Prepare and package specimens for laboratory analysis as needed. Route laboratory results to providers for review. Assist with refill requests for both controlled and non-controlled substances. Support completion of medication prior authorizations. Maintain and stock the sample closet, including proper management of expired medications and biohazard waste. Maintain, stock, and order clinical supplies necessary for patient care. Assist with special projects as assigned. Support the administration of Spravato (Esketamine) nasal spray and monitor patients accordingly. Assist providers with mapping procedures for Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) patients. Perform additional duties as assigned in accordance with the guidelines of the National Medical Assistant Certification. Knowledge

Medical documentation, interpersonal, practice-based learning and improvement, empathy, and decision making skills. Ability to prioritize work assignments and take direction. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Computer skills and experience with electronic health records. Qualifications Appropriate experience may be substituted for education on an equivalent basis.
Minimum Required Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum Required Experience:
2 years medical assisting experience or graduated from an accredited Medical Assistant Program. Required Certification/Licensure(s): NRCMA (Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant) or AAMA (American Association Medical Assistants) Physical Requirements Work requires occasionally lifting moderate weight materials, standing, or walking continuously. Work Environment Occasional exposure to dust, noise, temperature changes, or contact with water or other liquids. Work is performed in an environmentally controlled environment. Sensory Acuity Ability to detect and translate speech or other communication required.
