Job Description
Overview The Therapeutic Staff Support plays a crucial role in providing direct support and assistance to individuals with behavioral and developmental challenges. This position involves working closely with adolescent females (ages 12-17) to implement therapeutic strategies, promote positive behaviors, and enhance overall well-being. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of behavioral health principles and demonstrate compassion and patience in their interactions. Responsibilities Collaborate with therapists and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans. Provide direct support to clients in various settings, ensuring their safety and well-being. Utilize behavior management techniques to encourage positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors. Maintain accurate documentation and records of client progress and interventions. Conduct data collection on client behaviors and responses to interventions for ongoing assessment. Assist clients with daily living activities, promoting independence while providing necessary support. Engage clients in therapeutic activities that promote social skills, communication, and emotional regulation. Support individuals with developmental disabilities by adapting activities to meet their unique needs. Qualifications Familiarity with adolescent behaviors relevant to behavioral health settings. Skills in documentation practices. Ability to perform data collection effectively for client assessments. Proficiency in behavior management strategies to support adolescents effectively. Previous experience in patient care or related fields is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients, families, and team members.
