Trinity Healthcare Services of Logan, a 120-bed skilled nursing facility in Logan, WV is seeking a Quality Assistant to assist in providing high-quality care to our residents. Job Overview The Quality Assistant (QA) provides non-clinical, support-level assistance to help ensure resident needs are met promptly and safely. This role works under the supervision of licensed nursing staff and does not perform any direct care tasks. QAs help maintain a clean, organized, and supportive environment, and contribute to resident comfort, dignity, and quality of life. Resident Support & Non-Clinical Tasks Assist residents with non-hands-on care needs (passing water, delivering linens, retrieving supplies, tidying bedside areas). Answer call lights and relay clinical needs to licensed staff promptly. Assist residents with comfort measures such as adjusting pillows, blankets, and room environment. Provide companionship through conversation, reassurance, and presence. Transport residents in wheelchairs to activities, dining, therapy, or appointments (no lifting/transfer tasks). Encourage participation in activities and support resident social engagement. Unit Workflow & Team Support Restock resident rooms, carts, and common areas following facility and infection control guidelines. Assist CNAs and nurses by retrieving equipment and supplies as directed. Deliver meal trays and assist with meal set-up. Ensure hallways and common areas remain clean, safe, and clutter-free. Report observed changes in resident condition, mood, or safety concerns immediately. Safety, Compliance & Documentation Follow all infection control, fall-prevention, and resident-rights policies. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times. Participate in required training and competency checks. Support survey-readiness practices and facility quality standards.
Qualifications Required:
High school diploma or GED Must pass background check and drug screening Compassionate, patient, and eager to assist residents Strong teamwork, communication, and time-management skills

From $9.50 per hour
