About Us Sunny Side Group Home is a licensed Behavioral Health Residential Facility (BHRF) serving adults in Casa Grande, Arizona. We provide a safe, structured, and supportive environment for individuals who benefit from daily supervision and behavioral health support, but do not require inpatient hospitalization. Our approach is person-centered, trauma-informed, and rooted in dignity and respect. We are committed to helping residents build life skills, stabilize, and move toward greater independence while fostering a true sense of belonging and community. Position Overview The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) plays a critical role in supporting the daily operations of the home and the well-being of residents. This position is responsible for maintaining a safe environment, providing supervision, supporting daily routines, and reinforcing structure while promoting independence and self-sufficiency. BHTs serve as consistent, supportive figures who help residents navigate daily life, practice life skills, and work toward their individual goals. Key Responsibilities Maintain a safe, secure, and structured environment for all residents Provide supervision and support with daily routines, activities, and programming Support residents in developing and practicing independent living skills Provide emotional support using trauma-informed care principles Reinforce house expectations while promoting accountability and respect Assist with self-administration of medication in accordance with policy (no direct administration) Accurately document resident behavior, progress, and daily activities Support implementation of individualized service plans and goals Assist with transportation to appointments, errands, and community activities Respond to crisis situations and follow established protocols Maintain clear, professional communication with team members and leadership Ensure compliance with all facility policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements Promote a culture of dignity, inclusion, and respect Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Must be at least 21 years of age Experience in behavioral health, residential care, or a related field preferred Current CPR and First Aid certification (hands-on) required Must possess, or be able to obtain prior to employment, a Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card Must have current TB test documentation (within the last year) Must have a valid Arizona driver's license with a clean 5-year driving record Ability to safely operate company vehicles Must maintain all required training and certifications Basic computer skills and ability to complete documentation accurately Schedule & Work Environment We are a 24/7 residential facility Day, evening, overnight, weekday, and weekend shifts available Initial shifts may be 12 hours as staffing continues to grow Why Join Sunny Side Group Home?
