BHT's assist the clients by directing interactions, including but not limited to behavioral management, and by facilitating therapeutic recreational and social life skills. Additional Responsibilities, include but are not limited to: Participate in team meetings and trainings. Assist with client admission and discharge as needed. Follow an assigned schedule for daily activities. Oversee clients' completion of daily living tasks. Follow and adhere to house or facility rules, norms, expectations and schedules to provide consistency. Complete daily progress notes and documentation. Safely and appropriately utilize safe physical management techniques if necessary. Maintain all DCS licensing standards.

Behavioral Health Technician Minimum Requirements:

At least 21 years of age Possess a valid Arizona Drivers License Have a minimum of six months to one year's experience working with SMI Have at the minimum a high school diploma or GED Be able to obtain a valid Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card through the Department of Public Safety Possess basic computer skills Be First Aid and CPR certified Thank you, Qualifications Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred. Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques is highly desirable. Skills in crisis intervention, crisis management, and behavior management are essential. Familiarity with PTSD care, addiction counseling, special education, and social work is a plus. Ability to take vital signs and perform intake assessments as required. Strong understanding of medical documentation practices and behavioral health principles. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on empathy and support.
