Job Description
Job Summary A Patient Sitter provides direct patient observation and input in planning care through communication with the RN and other patient care team members. Is effectively involved with maintaining the standard of care for assigned patients through communication with the care team. Maintains competency and possesses the skills to provide a safe environment to those medical patients requiring close supervision because of behavioral health issues. Completes duties as assigned and performs duties under the direct supervision of the RN.

You will shape exceptional patient journeys every day and leverage your skills and our cutting-edge technology to directly impact patient wellbeing. Under the supervision of healthcare provider, performs a variety of basic patient care activities. Performs basic patient care activities as delegated including monitoring vital signs, taking blood glucose measurements, and recording intake and output. Assists patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, and eating. Reports abnormal assessment findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff. Assists with keeping patient rooms stocked, clean and orderly.
