Computer skills Care plans Patient observation Full Job Description About the Program Sanctuary Recovery Centers is seeking dedicated Behavioral Health Technicians for our Boys Adolescent Program , a specialized residential treatment program serving justice-involved adolescent boys. This program works closely with the administration of the courts to support court-ordered treatment, rehabilitation, and successful reintegration. Our goal is to provide a safe, structured, and supportive environment where these young men can heal, develop critical life skills, and build a foundation for long-term success. Position Summary As a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) in the Boys Adolescent Program, your primary focus is to assist in the treatment of mental health and behavioral conditions for justice-involved adolescent boys under the direct supervision of licensed medical and behavioral health professionals. You will work alongside our clinical team to implement individualized treatment plans, provide compassionate daily care, maintain a safe and compliant therapeutic environment, and support court-mandated programming and reporting requirements. Position Qualifications High School Diploma or GED (required) Experience working in a mental health institution, treatment center, or with justice-involved youth (preferred) Ability to treat adolescents with dignity, empathy, and cultural sensitivity Strong listening, communication, and de-escalation skills Good physical fitness and ability to engage in active programming with adolescent boys Acute observation and documentation skills Computer literacy (required for electronic health records and court reporting) Key Position Duties Carry out individualized treatment plans prescribed by medical and clinical professionals Provide a safe, clean, and fully compliant therapeutic environment for all clients Actively monitor clients, document observations, behaviors, and progress in real time on approved platforms Prepare timely and accurate reports on each client's progress and any concerns for clinical staff and court administration Ensure clients have a safe, supportive, and structured environment conducive to healing and recovery Safely de-escalate and diffuse situations in which clients may wish to harm themselves or others Provide emotional support to clients while maintaining clear professional boundaries Alert medical and clinical professionals immediately in the event of emergencies Follow all facility rules, policies, and procedures while ensuring clients remain in alignment with the client handbook Complete all required assessments and administrative tasks accurately and on time Maintain strict patient confidentiality at all times Collaborate with court administration and probation/parole officers as needed to support treatment compliance and reporting What We Offer Competitive compensation Opportunities for professional growth and training in adolescent behavioral health and justice-involved populations A meaningful role making a direct impact on the lives of at-risk youth Supportive team environment focused on trauma-informed care Sanctuary Recovery Centers is an equal opportunity employer.
