Thursday-Saturday with a rotating Wednesday 7:00pm-7:30am (night shift) . This night‑shift position may be eligible for shift differential , in accordance with company policy. As a frontline care provider, you will work directly with patients to ensure safety, support therapeutic programming, and assist nursing staff with essential clinical tasks. This role is fast‑paced, hands‑on, and ideal for individuals who thrive in a behavioral health environment and are committed to compassionate, structured patient care.Position Summary:
This position will work under the direction of a registered nurse while assisting patients account to care plans and department policy. This role ensures a comprehensive team approach in the care of patients and serves as liaison between nursing staff and patient in the performance of care plans.Essential Functions:
Under the leadership/direction of a Registered Nurse, will monitor and chart patient's blood pressure, and conduct room inspection and search for personal property/belongings. Provide basic patient care and monitors patient activity, including physical and mental status, and reports to nursing staff. Inspects, documents, and secures patient's personal belongings. Ensures that prohibited items, including contraband, are removed and secured Utilizes a handheld metal detector to conduct security scanning to ensure that objects, including weapons and paraphernalia, don't pose a threat to the safety and well-being of others. Recognizes patients that are exhibiting aggressive behavior, acting as a danger to themselves or others, or are in crisis constituting a medical emergency. Provides intervention including redirecting of patients and/or participating in seclusion and restraint as needed. Monitors and complete Q15's. Assists in the coordination of admission process, discharge, and transfer of patients within the facility. Facilitates daily groups according to "Mindability-Roadmap to Peace of Mind" curriculum. Provides care that promotes dignity, independence, strength, privacy and choice. Exhibits respect for diversity and boundaries. Monitors/supervises patients during scheduled visitation, meals, recreational activities, and daily/group programming. Customer/client focused and confirms with and abides by all regulations, policies, patient rights, work procedures, code procedures, and instruction. Perform other functions as assigned by RN, House Supervisor, Milieu Manager, ADON, CNO, or administration.WORK ENVIRONMENT
This job is operated in a behavioral health/psychiatric hospital. Position is direct care/hands-on, physically demanding, and requires agility to stand/be on feet a minimum of 75% of work shift. Ability to exercise self-control in potentially volatile situations such as being verbally or physically confronted in a threatening or aggressive manner; must be able to work and concentrate amidst distractions such as noise, conversation, and foot traffic and be able to move from one task to another. Must be flexible and not easily frustrated in dealing with differences of opinions. Able to address and prioritize multiple tasks within established time frames. Position is not sedentary and requires ability to walk at a fast pace, stand, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, push, pull, lift (up to 35 lbs.), grasp, and be able to perceive the attributes of objects such as size, shape, temperature, and/or texture by touching with skin, particularly that of the fingertips. Ability to express and exchange ideas via spoken work during activities in which they must convey detail or important spoken instructions to others accurately, sometimes quickly and loudly. Ability to express and exchange ideas via written assignments effectively and accurately. Hearing to perceive the nature of sound with no less than 40 db loss @ Hz, 1000 Hz, and 2000 Hz with or without correction; ability to perceive detailed information through oral communication and to make fine discriminations in sound. Performs repetitive motions with wrists, hands and fingers.Competencies:

High School Diploma, GED, and/or work experience in behavioral health required Two years of behavioral health experience preferred Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card required BLS/CPR and CPI Certification requiredREQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
