Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) - Substance Use / IOP Antioch, CA (On-Site) Holistic Pathways - Intensive Outpatient Program About Holistic Pathways Holistic Pathways is a growing Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) specializing in substance use and mental health treatment. Our mission is to provide structured, client-centered care that promotes long-term recovery, accountability, and stability. We are building a high-quality, compliance-driven program and are seeking dependable, motivated individuals who want to grow within the behavioral health field. Position Overview We are seeking a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to support daily operations and client care within our IOP program. This is a hands-on role that works closely with the Program Director and Clinical Director to ensure smooth program operations, strong client engagement, and a structured therapeutic environment. This role is ideal for someone who: Is reliable and detail-oriented Enjoys working directly with clients Wants to grow in the behavioral health or substance use field Can work in a fast-paced, structured environment Key ResponsibilitiesClient Support & Engagement Assist with client check-in, attendance tracking, and daily structure Support clients during group sessions and program activities Maintain a safe, respectful, and structured environment Help reinforce program rules, expectations, and accountability Group Facilitation Support Assist with or co-facilitate group sessions (based on experience and training) Help manage group dynamics and participation Support counselors during group sessions Case Management Support Assist with case management tasks under supervision of Program Director and Clinical Director Help coordinate referrals for housing, employment, and community resources Support clients with recovery-related needs (appointments, transportation, resources) Assist with housing coordination (including sober living placement support such as Divine Home) Follow up with clients on referrals and services Front Desk & Communication Support Answer incoming calls and greet clients professionally Provide general program information and direct calls appropriately Take messages and ensure timely follow-up by appropriate staff Support basic intake coordination by collecting initial client information Documentation & Administrative Support Track attendance and client participation Enter data and notes into EMR system (KIPU preferred) Report client concerns, behaviors, or issues to clinical staff Assist with maintaining accurate and organized client records Drug Screening Support Administer and assist with drug and alcohol testing (e.g., urine screens) in accordance with program policies Ensure proper documentation, labeling, and handling of test results Maintain confidentiality and follow chain-of-custody procedures when applicable Report results to appropriate clinical staff for review Program Operations Support daily program flow and schedule Assist Program Director with operational and administrative tasks Maintain cleanliness, organization, and readiness of the facility Help prepare group rooms and materials Client Monitoring & Safety Observe and report changes in client behavior or condition Support crisis situations by notifying appropriate staff Ensure a safe and supportive environment at all times Transportation Support (As Needed) Assist with client transportation coordination as needed (e.g., between sober living and program) May provide client transportation in a safe and professional manner when required Ensure compliance with safety and program guidelines during transport Qualifications High school diploma required (Associate's or Bachelor's preferred in psychology, social work, or related field) Experience in behavioral health, substance use, or mental health preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to remain calm and professional in a clinical setting Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented Ability to work independently with direction Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred Clean driving record (if transportation duties are assigned) Preferred Qualifications Experience in IOP, PHP, or substance use treatment programs Familiarity with
KIPU EMR
