JOB PURPOSE
The Treatment Technician position is responsible for direct client care and reports back to the Program Director any relevant information. Job Duties and Responsibilities Follow San Diego Wellness Center policies, procedures, and protocols. Types and performs data entry as needed for communication purposes. Organizes and upload documents to client files. (if applicable) Conforms to all necessary quality assurance standards. Greets scheduled visitors and coordinates to appropriate area or person. Follows up with facility rules and expectations, helps clients comply with contracts. Organizes San Diego Wellness Center's cleaning supplies and materials. Makes copies of printed materials. Observe and Report to clinical and medical team•client behaviors and mental health status, emergency medical/behavioral emergencies, need for referral, physical health, client needs, vitals, rounds, medications, COWS/CIWAS scores, drug screen results, and client complaints Performs all necessary documentation regarding clients (ie: rounds q 30m, vitals) Communicates effectively with Program Director and Medical Director about client care, status, and program needs Performs medication observation of self-administration and documents accurately Completes and documents vital signs and COWS/CIWA's to monitor detoxification Drug tests clients effectively according to San Diego Wellness Center Waived Testing procedures. Performs Intakes and Intake assessments Completes face to face checks on all clients per company policy and documents accordingly Expectations

Competencies To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies to perform the essential functions of this position. Understanding of Addiction Treatment Knowledge Application to Practice Professional Readiness/Scope of Practice Waived Testing Medication Observation/Vitals and Client Assessments Recognizing intoxication and withdrawal symptoms, ability to intervene appropriately Emergency management and infection control Minimum Qualifications Education / Experience Has a high school diploma or GED Licensed, Certified, or Registered Drug and Alcohol Counselor with CCAPP, ACCBC, or CADTP Certificates and Licenses Has CPR and First Aid certifications RADT, RAC, or SUDRC Knowledge An acute understanding of counseling and other treatment procedures for alcoholism and drug addiction related problems. A knowledge of regulations concerning alcoholism and drug addiction treatment. Working knowledge of alcoholism and drug addiction and treatment procedures for such illness. Health Clearance Passes mandatory health and drug screen Has had a tuberculosis (TB) test 60 days prior to hire or at minimum 7 days after employment. Completes and passes annual TB testing.
