This vital role involves overseeing operations, supervising staff, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care for individuals with complex mental health and developmental needs. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive experience in behavioral health environments, and a comprehensive understanding of psychiatric and medical protocols. Responsibilities Supervise staff and support personnel, providing leadership, mentorship, and performance evaluations to foster a cohesive team environment. Coordinate patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, and oversee implementation to ensure comprehensive behavioral health treatment. Oversee medication administration, including injections, IV infusions, and medication documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical standards. Ensure adherence to safety protocols such as airway management, sterile techniques, infection control practices, and emergency response procedures. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams utilization review processes for optimal patient outcomes. Maintain accurate medical records using electronic health record (EHR) ; ensure documentation complies with regulatory requirements. Conduct regular staff training on topics including trauma-informed care, dementia care, behavioral management strategies, and specialized interventions for individuals with disabilities. Experience Proven supervisory experience within behavioral health settings or psychiatric facilities. Extensive background in nursing or psychiatric technician roles with familiarity in mental health assessments and patient care planning. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia care needs, or memory care populations. Demonstrated expertise in managing complex cases involving acute pain management, medication administration, and emergency medicine protocols. Background in managing teams in environments requiring adherence to HIPAA standards and infection control practices. Additional experience in long-term care settings like assisted living or nursing homes is advantageous; hospital or ICU experience is highly valued.
