$25hr - $30hr About Us We are a growing outpatient psychiatric practice dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health care to individuals throughout the Los Angeles community. As we continue to expand our innovative treatment offerings, we are seeking a motivated and patient-centered TMS Technician to join our clinical team and help support our Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) program. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced psychiatric providers, receive specialized TMS training, and make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients seeking relief from depression and other mental health conditions. Position Overview The TMS Technician works under the direct supervision of our Medical Director and psychiatric providers to administer TMS treatments, support patient care, and ensure the safe and efficient operation of the TMS program. This is a highly patient-facing role requiring both clinical attentiveness and genuine compassion. Many of our patients are navigating challenging periods in their mental health journey and benefit greatly from a consistent, supportive presence throughout treatment. Key Responsibilities Administer TMS treatment sessions in accordance with physician-directed protocols and established clinical guidelines. Accurately position the treatment coil and assist with motor threshold determination and treatment setup. Monitor patients throughout treatment sessions, ensuring safety, comfort, and adherence to treatment protocols. Document treatment sessions, patient responses, and clinical observations accurately and thoroughly. Assist patients with completion of psychiatric rating scales, including PHQ-9, GAD-7, and other outcome measures. Educate patients on the TMS process, expected treatment course, and symptoms or concerns that should be reported. Coordinate and schedule TMS appointments while managing treatment calendars and patient follow-up. Verify insurance authorizations and assist with administrative requirements related to TMS treatment. Maintain TMS equipment according to manufacturer specifications and promptly report any technical concerns. Communicate patient progress, concerns, and observations to the supervising psychiatrist and clinical team. Foster a welcoming, supportive, and professional treatment environment for all patients. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field preferred. 1-2 years of experience in a clinical, behavioral health, or healthcare setting (Medical Assistant, Psychiatric Technician, Behavioral Health Technician, or similar role preferred). Prior TMS experience is highly desirable but not required. Comprehensive training and certification will be provided. Comfortable working with psychiatric patients across a broad range of diagnoses and treatment needs. Strong attention to detail and excellent documentation skills. Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational abilities. Ability to maintain professionalism, empathy, and confidentiality in all patient interactions. Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems preferred. Reliable Transportation. Preferred Qualifications Experience in psychiatry, behavioral health, neurology, or outpatient medical settings. Familiarity with insurance verification and authorization processes. Experience administering patient assessments and outcome measures. Bilingual skills are a plus.
