(LVN's will not be considered for this role) This position plays a vital role in providing essential mental health care to incarcerated individuals, ensuring a safe, therapeutic, and rehabilitative environment within the facility.

Susanville, CA or Ione, California (45 minutes South of Sacramento!)
Schedule:
5 days/week, 8-hour shifts Higher Pay for
Travelers:
Additional compensation for those commuting 50+ miles from the facility

45pm-10:15pm or
MON-FRI 1
45pm-10:15pm
Required Qualifications:
Active California LPT license (in good standing)
  • (LVN's will not be considered for this role) Must have at least 1 year of experience as an LPT (1 year is required) If a traveler, no housing is included; only a travel stipend.
BLS Certification from the American Heart Association Ability to pass a strict background check Strong commitment to patient-centered care and mental health rehabilitation
Key Responsibilities:
Administer prescribed medications, including psychotropic drugs, and monitor patient responses Assist in crisis intervention, de-escalation, and suicide prevention efforts Conduct mental health assessments and document patient progress Monitor and report changes in patient behavior and mental status Implement and follow individualized treatment plans under the direction of RNs and mental health providers Provide therapeutic interventions and assist with group counseling sessions as directed Ensure compliance with CDCR regulations, facility policies, and ethical standards of psychiatric care Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including RNs, psychiatrists, and custody staff, to ensure patient safety and proper care Educate patients on mental health conditions, medication adherence, and coping strategies Maintain a secure and therapeutic environment for both patients and staff Why Join Ro Health?
