Psychiatric Technician San Diego, CA $53-$55 per hour Flexible Schedule | Day & Evening Shifts | 40 Hours Per Week Job Overview We are hiring a Licensed Psychiatric Technician to provide behavioral health and psychiatric care inside a secure correctional healthcare facility in San Diego, California. This role supports individuals with mental health and developmental conditions while working alongside nurses, physicians, and mental health professionals. This is a full-time position with consistent hours, flexible scheduling, and competitive pay. Key Responsibilities Provide behavioral health and psychiatric care to patients in a correctional setting Monitor patients for changes in mental status, behavior, and physical condition Administer medications and treatments within scope of licensure Record and monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature Support treatment plans developed by medical and mental health providers Assist with group and individual therapeutic activities Coordinate clinical appointments and patient movement within the facility Maintain accurate and timely documentation Respond to medical emergencies including CPR and first aid Help maintain a safe and therapeutic clinical environment Qualifications Active California Psychiatric Technician License Minimum 12 months of recent psychiatric, behavioral health, or correctional healthcare experience within the last 3 years Ability to work in a secure correctional facility environment Strong communication and teamwork skills
