Job Description

First Light Recovery is a CARF-accredited 18-bed mental health treatment center seeking motivated and compassionate individuals to join our team of technicians. Mental health technicians play an essential role in creating a safe, warm, and supportive community for our clients. Technicians support clients in activities of daily living, therapeutic activities, and socialization while maintaining client confidentiality. We'd love to have you join our energetic and fast paced team!
DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Provides care to clients in a manner that promotes safety, comfort, and the therapeutic environment.
  • Assists clients with activities of daily living; attends to client behavioral issues and provides assistance in crisis intervention, as needed.
  • Leads milieu activities such as community meetings, life skills, and recreational activities..
  • Completes daily documentation of client observations
  • Facilitates intake and discharge processes
  • Collaborates with clinical team in the implementation of individual treatment programs.
  • Transports clients to and from community appointments
  • Document and utilize Electronic Medical Record.
  • Attend all mandatory staff meetings/supervision
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum 18 years of age.
  • A Criminal Background/Fingerprint Clearance (Level 2) - Prior CDSS clearance preferred
  • A Health Screening with TB test results (Can be done after hire. Within 7 days)
  • If in the program, minimum one year of continuous sobriety.
  • High School Diploma or equivalency test.
  • Must be available weekends and holidays
  • Must be detail oriented with good oral and written communication skills.
Preferred:
experience working in residential treatment with knowledge of co-occurring disorders.
    Preferred:
    25 years of age.
    REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
    • Valid California's Driver's License/clean driving record
    • Current CPR certification (Can be obtained after hire. Within 7 days )
    • Current First Aid certification (Can be obtained after hire.
    Within 7 days )
    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
    The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Employee is required to talk or hear while on duty and frequently required to stand and walk. Occasionally, the employee is required to sit and use a computer and/or reach with hands and arms.
    Work Remotely No Pay:
    From $20.00 per hour
