This role combines hands-on patient care with insurance coordination and plays a vital role in supporting safe, consistent, and successful treatment outcomes for patients receiving advanced mental health therapies. Key Responsibilities Clinical Support and Patient Care Prepare patients for TMS and Spravato treatments in a calm, supportive, and professional manner Assist with TMS treatment setup, including proper positioning and comfort throughout sessions Support Spravato treatment visits, including patient check-in, monitoring during treatment, and post-treatment observation Monitor patients closely for safety, comfort, and response to treatment, following all clinical protocols Provide clear, reassuring communication to patients throughout the treatment process Ensure a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment during all visits Escalate any clinical concerns promptly to the provider Treatment Coordination and Quality Support adherence to treatment schedules to promote continuity and successful outcomes Reinforce provider instructions and patient education related to treatment expectations Maintain a high standard of patient-centered care, professionalism, and empathy Assist in creating a consistent and positive patient experience across all visits Insurance and Administrative Responsibilities Submit, track, and follow up on prior authorizations for TMS and Spravato treatments Perform detailed verification of benefits for mental health services Communicate with major insurance providers including Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, United Healthcare, and Medicare plans Review coverage details with patients in a clear and supportive manner Coordinate scheduling and assist with patient follow-up as needed Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMR systems Team Collaboration Work closely with providers, front office staff, and leadership to ensure smooth clinic operations Communicate updates regarding patient status, authorizations, and scheduling Support a collaborative, respectful, and efficient team environment Requirements Prior authorization experience required Verification of benefits experience required Experience with TMS or Spravato treatments preferred Knowledge of outpatient mental health workflows preferred Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical setting Professional, compassionate, and patient-focused communication style Preferred Qualifications Experience working in psychiatry or behavioral health settings Familiarity with EMR systems Experience supporting patients through structured treatment programs Work Environment Outpatient mental health clinic Structured, team-oriented setting Patient-centered, supportive atmosphere Why Cura Behavioral Health We are committed to providing compassionate, high-quality care through innovative treatments such as TMS and Spravato.
