Job Description

Help People Begin Their Recovery Journey Recovery starts with compassionate care, safety, and support. At Valiant Detox and Assessment Center, our Detox and Residential Treatment Program provides individuals with the structure and encouragement they need during one of the most important steps of their recovery. We're looking for dependable, compassionate Detox Technicians who are passionate about making a difference. Position Summary As a Detox Technician, you'll play a critical role in maintaining a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment for patients receiving detoxification and residential treatment services. Working closely with nursing and clinical staff, you'll provide direct patient support while helping ensure the safety, structure, and daily operations of the program. Responsibilities As a Detox Technician, you will: Provide compassionate, patient-centered support throughout each shift Assist with implementing the daily program schedule and therapeutic activities Support admissions, discharges, and census management Monitor and document urinalysis and breathalyzer testing as assigned Observe patients for behavioral changes or signs of distress and communicate concerns promptly to nursing and clinical staff Conduct routine patient safety and room checks Maintain a clean, organized, and safe treatment environment Encourage healthy hygiene practices and support daily living activities Complete accurate and timely documentation in accordance with program standards Participate in treatment team meetings and communicate patient progress or concerns Transport patients to medical appointments, recovery meetings, or other treatment-related activities Perform other duties as assigned to support quality patient care Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record Reliable transportation Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team Strong communication and documentation skills Professional demeanor with the ability to remain calm under pressure Reliable attendance and punctuality Preferred Experience working in detox, residential treatment, behavioral health, mental health, healthcare, or substance use treatment Knowledge of behavioral management techniques CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Experience working with individuals experiencing substance use or mental health disorders What Makes You a Great Fit We're looking for someone who is: Compassionate and respectful toward every patient Calm and emotionally resilient during crisis situations Dependable and accountable Detail-oriented with strong observational skills Passionate about recovery and helping others succeed A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment Why Join Valiant Living?
