Please apply here: https://04pghv72.forms.app/application-form Overview The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) provides direct care and support to individuals receiving treatment for substance use disorders in a residential or outpatient setting. The BHT works as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment while assisting clients in their recovery process. Key Responsibilities Provide direct supervision and support to clients in accordance with treatment plans Monitor client behavior, safety, and well-being throughout shifts Conduct regular safety checks, including room searches and contraband monitoring Facilitate or assist with psychoeducational groups and recreational activities Document client behaviors, incidents, and progress in accordance with facility policies and regulatory standards Assist clients with daily living activities (e.g., hygiene, meals, routines) Support clients in crisis situations using de-escalation techniques Enforce program rules, structure, and boundaries consistently and professionally Perform admission and discharge procedures, including orientation to facility policies Conduct drug screenings (urine analysis, breathalyzer testing) as required Transport clients to appointments or activities, if applicable Communicate effectively with clinical staff regarding client needs and concerns Participate in team meetings and shift reports QualificationsEducation & Experience High school diploma or GED required Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field preferred Previous experience in behavioral health, substance use treatment, or residential care strongly preferred Certifications (may be required depending on facility) CPR/First Aid certification CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) or other de-escalation training Valid driver's license with clean driving record (if transportation duties required)
Pay:
$15.00 - $17.00 per hour
