This energetic and compassionate position involves providing direct patient care, implementing behavior management strategies, and ensuring a safe, supportive environment for clients with diverse needs, including developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, PTSD, and other mental health conditions. Your enthusiasm and proactive approach will help foster positive outcomes and promote well-being for those in your care. Responsibilities Provide direct supervision and support to clients with behavioral health challenges during weekend hours. Assist with intake procedures, medical documentation, and maintaining accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Monitor vital signs and observe behavioral changes to inform treatment plans and report findings accurately. Implement behavior management techniques, including applied behavior analysis (ABA), to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors. Respond effectively to crisis situations through crisis intervention and crisis management strategies, ensuring safety for clients and staff. Administer medication following prescribed protocols while maintaining detailed medication administration records. Collect data on client behaviors and progress to support ongoing treatment planning and documentation efforts. Requirements Knowledge of crisis intervention, crisis management, behavior management techniques, and addiction counseling is highly desirable. Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities in various settings, demonstrating patience and empathy. HIPAA compliance. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in social work or behavioral health environments. Flexibility to work on weekends with a proactive attitude toward patient safety and well-being.
