PRN Position Summary:
The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) is responsible for the daily interactions with patients, maintaining patient schedule, headcounts and 24-hour observation of patient's activities and locations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily; other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Maintains daily observations of patients at various levels of care at the required time intervals Conduct all interactions in a professional and ethical manner. Follows facility regulations regarding infections control, incident reporting and risk management. Conducts point of care testing such as urine drug screens, pregnancy tests and breathalyzer Conduct on person body searches of all new clients during time of admissions Conducts searches of all patients belongs. Attends all mandatory trainings and meetings. Maintains a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Transports patients in approved vehicles to approved events. Navigate basic computer skills Other duties and assignments as deemed qualified and appropriate. Full time

Disability Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required Valid Driver's License and Insurance for clearance to drive a 14-passenger van At least 1 year of experience of working in the Behavioral Health field preferred Ability to clearly communicate in various forms: verbal, written, text Understanding of the variety of community support groups (AA, NA, AlAnon, Coda, etc.) CPR Certification First Aid Certification Waived testing, CLIA
