How you'll contribute A Rehabilitation Technician who excels in this role: Follows patient care-related tasks as determined by the
OT/PT/ST
to assist the patients achieve therapy goals Performs routine clerical tasks for Therapy Department. Must be able to communicate in both verbally and in writing to members of the rehabilitation team Visual acuity to perceive patient reactions to treatment and to read instructions Able to lift and carry equipment, supplies and materials up to 50 lbs on a regular basis Prepares patient for prescribed treatment and assists professional staff with patient treatment. Prepares, cleans and maintains treatment areas and equipment. Procures and keeps an accurate inventory of all therapy supplies. What we're looking for High School Diploma or equivalent 6-12 months relevant experience strongly recommended in a rehab setting CPR certification (when required) Willing to participate in on-the-job training after initial orientation Basic computer knowledge. Appropriate telephone communication skills. Ability to Transport, lift, transfer, move and reposition patients in the patient room, Therapy Gym and other common areas of the hospital.
