Job Description

Peach State Nursing Agency has been providing supplemental staffing solutions since 1990, based in Milledgeville, Georgia. Originally, our focus was on staffing hospitals and nursing homes in the middle Georgia region. However, we soon expanded our services to include home care as well. Our commitment is to deliver dependable, high-quality care to both clients and healthcare facilities. We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Aide with one year experience in a mental health facility to join our team at Georgia Regional Hospital in Savannah, Georgia. In this role, you will provide basic patient care in a psychiatric facility. Your primary focus will be on delivering high-quality care, ensuring patient comfort, and assisting with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of patient needs and will demonstrate a commitment to maintaining the dignity and respect of those in their care.
Shifts:
7:00 AM - 7:30 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Responsibilities Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Respond to patients' calls for assistance. Assists in administration of medications and treatments, takes vital signs. Conducts activities for recreation and socialization. Ensures the safety and security of clients. Feed clients who are unable to feed themselves. Observes and documents patient data, behavior, and activity. Prepare clients for treatment or examination. Provides client care by supplying and emptying bedpans, applying dressings and supervising exercise routines. Helps clients walk, exercise, and move in and out of bed. Provides subprofessional occupational and/or physical therapy services to physically and /or developmentally disabled patients Transports and/or accompanies clients to treatment units. Consistently utilize the principles of the recovery model when engaging patients. Maintain acceptable standards of patient care consistent with Joint Commission, CMS, and Department policies, including diet and physical activity. Attends work on a regular and predictable schedule in accordance with Supplier leave policy and performs other duties as assigned. Responds to hospital codes as appropriate. Performs approved techniques to prevent and safely manage aggressive behaviors. Experience One year of experience in healthcare, specifically working in a mental health facility. knowledge of documentation principles knowledge of Bowel Elimination and proper actions Management of Seizures and necessary follow-up actions.
