Job Description

We are seeking compassionate, dependable Direct Care Staff to support adolescent girls (ages 12-18) in a structured residential group home program. Our residents have experienced trauma and are working towards healing and personal growth. This role goes beyond daily responsibilities—it's about mentoring teens, building life skills, and creating meaningful, lasting change.
Shift Availability:
Evenings:
5pm-12am
Weekends:
OPEN AVAILABILITY
(6am-11pm); 12 hour shift availability
Applicants MUST:
Be 21 years or older Have a drivers license Have a GED or high school diploma Pass a clean background check Be available at least 3 days per week Be able to start within 2 weeks
Key Responsibilities:
Provide supervision and ensure a safe, structured environment Build positive, supportive relationships with residents Assist with daily routines, life skills, and personal development Support residents in managing behaviors and emotions appropriately Facilitate or assist with group activities and programming Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with team members
Qualifications:
Must be reliable, patient, and able to work with at-risk youth Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to remain calm and consistent in challenging situations Experience in childcare, mental health, or residential care preferred Prior experience working in psychiatric care, acute hospital settings, or corrections facility medical clinics is highly desirable. Knowledge of psychiatry principles, crisis intervention strategies, and behavioral health management techniques. Familiarity with medical terminology, medication administration procedures, and medical records documentation. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is a plus. Strong skills in patient observation, behavior management, and emergency response are essential. Previous nursing or healthcare experience involving patient monitoring and psychiatric care will be advantageous. Ability to work independently during night shifts and weekends while maintaining high standards of patient safety and care.
